Sunset at Lake Virginia
for Piano
Inspired by the beautiful Lake Virginia at Rollins College, my aim in this piece was to create simple beauty. Using impressionistic techniques and soft, sweet melodies, I crafted this work to represent the serene tranquility of the lake I visited everyday while a student at Rollins College.
Premiered in April 2014 by the composer on his undergraduate junior composition recital at Rollins College.
